“Truth” by Jeff Beck - album review
features in: Album Chart of 1968 ● Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s ● 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die |
Debut album from the 24-year-old ex-Yardbird with a little help from his friends, Rod Stewart (vocals), Ronnie Wood (bass guitar) and Micky Waller (drums). The cover of “Ol’ Man River”, an old 20s showtune, is both a surprise and a delight, breaking up the rock-centric fare.
