TJR says

As they did with 1981s “Place Without A Postcard”, the Sydney 5-piece decamped to London to create and record “10 to 1”. They line-up: Peter Garrett (lead vocals); Peter Gifford (bass, vocals); Rob Hirst (drums, vocals); Jim Moginie (guitars, keyboards) and Martin Rotsey (guitars). It's a tight, well-produced affair and they're politically right-on socialists, but it's all so thoroughly boring. Probably best described as the Australian U2 with none of the postpunk cool. A huge hit for them at home and, surprisingly, did well in America too. In 2011, the album was listed in Triple J Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time, at number 21. Note to self: take no notice of Triple J's recommendations.
