“Soul The Hits” by The Ikettes - album review

features in: Album Chart of 1966Album Chart of the Decade: 1960s

TJR says

The sole Ikettes album featuring 10 single sides, 1964-1966, and two previously unrleased cuts, “Can’t Sit Down ‘Cos I Feel So Good” and “It’s Been So Long”. At this time The Ikettes were Robbie Montgomery, Jessie Smith and Venetta Fields. The storming “Da Do Ron Ron” aside, I don't get much connection with this set, it's a tad too poppy for me.
